Rob is a high achiever who thrives on personal challenges. He has degrees in building, project management and law. He is a graded arbitrator and nationally accredited mediator.

During his studies at UNSW he was awarded several industry prizes for academic excellence. Over a career spanning 35 years he has worked as a project manager establishing large projects in first and third world countries. Rob has lectured in building, conflict resolution and law at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He has also developed and facilitated training programmes for private and corporate clients on communication and conflict management.

Whilst undertaking his part time law degree at UNSW Rob was a part time member in the Building Disputes Tribunal and Fair Trading Tribunal NSW. In that capacity he conciliated and/or ultimately determined hundreds of commercial and residential building disputes. As a barrister Rob has successfully negotiated settlements to many seemingly intractable disputes. As a mediator he also has an enviable record of achieving settlement (often in circumstances where the prospects of doing so appeared remote at the outset).

Rob is an outgoing committed family man with a wife and two daughters. He is a keen outdoors sportsman who enjoys most forms of active ocean water-sports. Over a thirty year running career he has completed the Sydney, London, New York and Berlin Marathons. He has also twice completed the arduous Comrades Ultra Marathon of 88kms in South Africa.
